ESL-TASTIC

ESL, "English as A second language", not the easiest of jobs...is it! There is a good chance you are in a country you are not so familiar with, trying to teach big classes with little training or teaching experience. I was thinking it may be about time to draw on my last 5 years of ESL teaching experience and start compiling and documenting the lessons I find work and work well. It should be mentioned my ESL journey is based here in a 2nd tier city in China. I mainly teach Middle School (junior 1,2 and 3) but have found that most good lessons can be adapted for young and old. It will take some time to organize all this, but I'll slowly start putting it all here with the hope that it can be of help to others journeying along the ESL road. Many nights (and early hours of the morning) I myself have spent scouring the net and books for lesson ideas...It can be the most exhausting and time consuming part of the job. I hope you can find some ideas here to make your classes fun, informative, action packed and all round easier and more enjoyable.

Regards Sue
