The Worlds Strangest Festivals

Stepping back about 15 years, I spent a year living in England and Ireland. I can recall all kinds of amazing adventures but none stand out quite so much as a surreal festival I attended in the town of Killorglin, Ireland. I was living just a few kilometers away in a small village and rambled on into town (with my other local village folk) to see what "The Puck Fair" was all about. A few bottles of local cider later and I could have been forgiven for imagining I saw a wild goat crowned King (for 3 days), put up on top of a (gotta be about 50 feet) high tower and worshiped in a huge Irish celebration of music, alcohol, rides and attractions...Without going into a description that would last 10 pages or more, It made such an impression that it got me thinking what other weird and wonderful festivals and competitions we can find around this amazing world of ours. I thought it would certainly make for a cool lesson, so behold...

And have I found some weird festivals and competitions? ABSOLUTELY! From Toilet Races and Smelly Sneaker Day to Tomato Warfare and the quaint and beautiful (all be it a little unusual) Night of The Radishes. I've had an absolute ball making this game and I really hope some of you can find it useful, informative and most of all...FUN.
