Hint Zone : Make Your Own WhiteBoard

I came up with this idea because I teach large classes of children, at a middle school but within my own classroom. I don't do the usual ESL teacher thing and go from classroom to classroom for each lesson. That being the case, the kids often purposefully forget to bring paper and pens (they don't want even more things to write about). Because the classes are so large, I do a lot of group work and I thought a small whiteboard for each group would be the perfect solution. Whiteboards aren't exactly cheap... so I made them.

HOW TO MAKE : Grab A blank piece of printer paper or white card and laminate it...SIMPLE!

If you don't have a laminator (I purchase stuff like that to make my life easier) ask your school to do it for you. Then buy a few whiteboard markers, tear up some old towels for cleaners and you're ready to rock. Absolutely perfect for any team work activities in which they need to write and.... presto, the writing activity becomes a whole lot more fun.
